Vintage Peruvian plates and bowls with a llama pattern! People are always interested to learn that my family has llamas. Everyone always asks what you "do" with them. Well, if you're not hiking the hills and letting them carry your packs for you, or using their wool to spin yarn, they make really good mowers and can keep your rural hillside from becoming a jungle. Just don't look them in the eye or they will spit at you.

I just stumbled across these bowls and plates on etsy. How great are these?
Hi Casey! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! We didn't plant everything until a month ago, so you might still have time.
ReplyDeleteAnd I was pleasantly surprised to see those llama dishes! My family owns alpacas! What a small world! I also have the awkward conversation about what my parents "do" with them since they (my parents) don't live on a farm. They show and breed the alpacas, as well as use the wool for knitting. My sister knit us a throw blanket for Christmas one year.
What a coincidence! My younger sister used to show the llamas at the county fair. Our favorite part to watch was the obstacle course. :) We had some local wool spinner friends who would spin the yarn as well. Llamas and alpacas are wonderful animals!
